Disappoiting product :(

So... Yesterday I was at the drugstore, looking for a blue eyeshadow or palette... I finally opted for a CoverGirl trio that just catched my eye. Blazing Blues :  A yellow shadow, a light blue one and a darker blue... I was so excited, such beautiful colors! I could already picture the look I was going to do with this trio, I had it all in mind...

But... what a disappointment when I tried it on this morning!!! The pigmentation is very poor... Even with a base, the shadows barely show up! I had the hardest time blending the yellow and the blues together... It made me really sad because I so wanted to love this palette, the colors were so gorgeous in the pan. I still got something out of them, after packing them on my lids... I also added some black on top of the darker blue in the outer corner to darken it and give some dimension to the look, and a yellow-ish pigment of the first half of my lids to spice it up a bit. Over all... this product is just not what I was looking for. Next time I'll stick to my first idea and get the Annabelle blue trio...
